This week’s Parade Magazine (yes the one that comes in the Sunday newspaper) has that question in Walter Scott’s “Personality Parade” column where M.H.S. of Whitinsville, Mass asks, “Are High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens really dating?”
Scott answers, “Publicists at the Disney Channel would like every tween girl in America to think that Zac, 20, and Vanessa, 18, are having a hot and heavy romance. They have dated, but we’re skeptical about just how steamy it actually is. Such gossip may be meant to stoke interest in Disney’s popular High School Musical TV films, DVDs, live shows and upcoming movie.”

Dancing with the Stars may have produced another whirlwind romance that is headed for the altar. Cheetah Girls starlet and fabulous dancer Sabrina Bryan says she engaged to be married to partner Mark Ballas. She was caught on video looking like she was having a very good time and when asked when is the wedding she replied, “August of ‘08.”

She made the point again, repeating “August of ‘08,” and then told reporters, “Don’t get me started.” She then leans into Mark and playfully laughs so she may have only been kidding, but with the Dancing with the Stars history – who can tell?
The scene was outside of Hollywood hot spot Hyde and TMZ has the video here. Earlier reports have claimed that the dancing duo was involved in a romance after she was shockingly eliminated from the competition way too early. So are they really headed for a wedding and in August instead of June? Cue the rep™: Calls to Sabrina’s reps were not immediately returned, the website reports.
She had said earlier they were getting close. “We’ve been so focused on the competition … but now that that has died down, we’ll see where it goes,” Sabrina said of their blossoming romance. “We haven’t had a chance to do any of that (dating) or even talk about it. We didn’t even realize that people would think that about us until they started asking us. Because you get so close to someone, you get so comfortable, that you don’t even see it.”

There have been various reports that Vanessa Hudgens might get booted from the big screen version of High School Musical 3 (otherwise known as HSM3) but those have been denied countless times. And it seems certain that Zac Efron, Vanessa and the whole cast will return for the big budget big screen sure fire hit.

In Touch Weekly s reporting that Zanessa fans can now rejoice! Not only will Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens be back playing Troy and Gabriella in HSM3, the real-life lovebirds will get huge pay raises to show for it.

The magazine reports that although Disney released a statement saying they’re “still in negotiations with the HSM cast,” Zac was spotted lunching with HSM director Kenny Ortega – and an insider tells In Touch that the casts’ deals are in place. “Zac will make $3.2 million for the sequel, while Vanessa will get $1.75 million,” says the insider.
Cashing in on Zanessa and their success is a good thing for them and their fans alike. The report does note that the stars’ sequel status had been up in the air after the aforementioned false reports that Vanessa’s nude photo scandal cost her the squeaky-clean role and Zac’s Hollywood star took off following his scene-stealing turn in Hairspray. Filming is scheduled to begin in February.

The state of Jamie Lynn Spears’ relationship with the father of her unborn baby was yesterday shrouded in mystery.
While one US report claimed the teenagers want to get married, another said they had broken up.
And a website, which claims to be the MySpace page of dad-to-be Casey Aldridge, carried the message “Me and Jamie are over”.
Jamie Lynn, 16, and 18-year-old Casey were thrust into the spotlight earlier this week when the actress revealed she was pregnant.
The Zoe 101 star, together with her mother Lynne Spears, sat down with OK magazine and told the world she was 12 weeks along and that Casey was the father.
The news came as a shock to tabloid magazines and entertainment shows, who had not realised the youngsters were in a serious relationship.
Recently Jamie Lynn told the Associated Press she did not have a serious boyfriend and was keeping her “options open”.
But yesterday (Wednesday) a source close to the Spears family told US entertainment show Access Hollywood that Jamie Lynn and Casey were keen to get married.
The source said the teenagers “want to get married really bad”, but their parents were trying to discourage them because they thought they were too young.
The source told Access Hollywood that Jamie Lynn still had the mind of a teenager, which is why her Mum and Dad want her to wait. “She doesn’t understand the ramifications,” the source said. “She’s just a child with not a lick of sense.
“There’s no reasoning with her. She’s not thinking 10 years down the road, not even two years down the road.”
But despite reports of marriage, one US magazine claimed Jamie Lynn and Casey are in fact no longer seeing one another. “Jamie Lynn and Casey are not together,” a Spears family insider told Life and Style magazine.
“They’ve broken up numerous times, but he was her first and she kept taking him back.
“They’re not dating now. He’s really got nothing to offer this baby. He’s a kid himself. They have no plans to get married.
“At this point, Jamie Lynn has asked her mom – and not Casey – to be in the delivery room with her.”
A rep for Jamie Lynn was not immediately available for comment.

Many have been curiously following the young actress’ personal life ever since she catapulted to stardom with her Disney series, Hannah Montana, but have not gathered much information that would directly link the 15-year-old star to a romantic interest.A couple of months ago, however, People Magazine has reported that Cyrus and the youngest of sibling pop trio The Jonas Brothers are going out. The news has further sparked fans’ interest as Cyrus gave Jonas a little kiss on the cheek while they performed on stage during last week’s concert in Memphis, Tennessee at the FedEx Forum, which was part of the Best of Both Worlds Tour where she performs both as a solo artist and in character as Hannah Montana.

The price of fame continues to take its toll on today’s most-talked about young stars, Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens. Both actors catapulted to stardom when they landed roles on Disney’s highly successful TV movie, High School Musical, and since then, have been under close watch of the public and the subject of much scrutiny from the media with the status of their off screen romance, Hudgens’ nude scandal, and many other controversies.
Now, another report is buzzing its way to the open. According to Star Magazine, the High School Musical actress wants a little less “metro” in Efron and is bothered by his excessive concern about his appearance, preferring her boyfriend to be manly rather than dandy.

“She wants to date a man, not a little girl,” an insider revealed to Star. “Vanessa told [Zac] to stop being such a sissy and freaking out when he gets blemishes.”
The report stemmed from a birthday bash for Hudgens’ little sister last month where Efron reportedly almost bailed on the event after spotting an enormous zit on his cheek. At one point, Hudgens reportedly offered up her tube of concealer, although this made her feel weird since she “doesn’t want to share makeup with her boyfriend.”
“He just flipped out. He knew there were a bunch of girls at the party who worship him…and he didn’t want them all staring at his pimple,” an insider told Star Magazine.
On the other hand, the High School Musical actress maintains that she never said that Efron needs to toughen up.
“That’s completely false. I never said that,” Hudgens said during an ambush interview where she was asked why she wanted Efron to be more “masculine.”
At present, Efron is currently filming the movie Seventeen, which is set to air in 2009, and is expected to reprise his signature role as Troy Bolton, along with Hudgens as Gabriella Montez, in High School Musical 3, which will film early next year.
